TGA - Group Project 1:  Auto-Runner

Summary
You play as a lost spirit who is on a journey to find the afterlife. Flow through a magical world while avoiding obstacles and collecting spirit energy. 

Specifications

  • 6 weeks, 33 % tempo (3 hours a day)

  • Game was developed and built in Unity

  • Runs on Windows

  • 4 levels, 10-20 minutes of gameplay

Our level design tools

Unity Terrain

We worked with unity terrain in each level, and iterated on the terrain together with the visual auto-runner path.

Unity prefabs

We worked with Unity prefabs in order to add gameplay objects like obstacles and pick-ups, which helped us keep them up to date
in our levels.

Unity probuilder

We worked with the probuilder plug-in in order to model the visual path for the auto-runner.

Camera spline

Our programs set up some tools so we could design the actual auto-runner path together with a cinemachine virtual camera that would follow the avatar.
